With My PhD Supervisors

We all were PhD students working under supervision of Professor Yao. Professor Shujie Yao was one of my PhD supervisors while he was working as the Chair of Economic Group at Middlesex University. He is now working as Head of School and Professor of Economics and Chinese Sustainable Development at University of Nottingham (ranked amongst Britain's top 10 leading universities). Professor Shujie Yao was ranked eighth among the world's China scholars specialising in the study of the Chinese economy in a recent article published in the Journal of Asian Economic Literature.

Dr Dirk Willenbockel was one of my PhD supervisors while he was working as a Senior Lecturer and Research Leader at Middlesex University. He is now working as a Research Fellow at Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK. Dirk is also a co-author of one of my research publications.

Dirk and Marian were also my pub mates. We used to go to the Chequers (a local pub) for a pint (sometimes two or three pints, of course) of Kronenbourg (Dirk's favourite German beer).
